Prior to founding Navigator, Schoettmer held positions in engineering, operations management and consulting with United Technologies’ Pratt & Whitney, ABB, and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). While at Accenture, Schoettmer became recognized as a thought leader in packaged software implementation and process reengineering, establishing the basis for his launch of Navigator. Under Schoettmer’s leadership, Navigator began operations in Columbus, Ohio, and proceeded to become a key service provider to many Fortune 1000 companies in the region and across the country. Navigator has been recognized for its rapid growth, ‘best places to work’ status, and the firm’s nonprofit engagement, and has expanded its initial midwestern footprint to serve many regions across the U.S.
Navigator’s business growth in the midwest has allowed Schoettmer to better establish himself as a corporate citizen in Navigator’s headquarters market. This has included board leadership of Mental Health America of Franklin County, as well as significant contributions to the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, the Groundwork Group, The Ronald McDonald House at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and The Ohio State University and Wexner Medical Center.
A native of Kettering, Ohio, Schoettmer now resides in Powell, Ohio with his wife and two children. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton and a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
