Angelo Mazzocco is the Chief Information Officer of Progressive Medical, Inc. Progressive Medical, Inc. is a nationwide, managed care and health care cost containment company. It coordinates care for workers' compensation, auto-no-fault and personal injury protection cases. Progressive Medical, Inc. provides medical equipment, medical supplies, pharmacy management, health services and ancillary services, such as outpatient rehabilitation, transportation, translation and radiology. Its nationwide network of pharmacies and equipment providers offer prompt service, detailed follow-up and cost containment reports to insurers, employers and third party administrators. Prior to joining Progressive in January 2006, Mr. Mazzocco was the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of The Dispatch Printing Company and Affiliates. The Dispatch Printing Company and Affiliates include 14 privately held companies. He has served as an adjunct faculty member of The Ohio State University and Otterbein College since 1991.
An active leader in the Columbus and Ohio community, Angelo co-founded the CIO Forum and CIOhio CIO Symposium events. Angelo is a past recipient of the 2003 TechColumbus President's Top Contributor to the Advancement of Technology (TopCAT) award, 2005 TopCAT Executive of the Year, 2005 TopCAT Large Technology Team Leader, 2006 TopCAT finalist, 2007 TopCAT Large Technology Service Provider, and the 2005 Volunteer of the Year for GroundWork Group which is an annual award bestowed upon an individual with exceptional leadership and personal commitment to the Central Ohio community. He is a member of the Board of Directors of GroundWork Group, Gladden Community House, Navigator Partners, LLC., ZebraMobile, Inc., TechColumbus, and The Ohio State University Digital Union.
Mr. Helmreich regularly counsels clients regarding all types of employee benefit plans, including tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, nonqualified plans, executive compensation arrangements, and equity-based incentive programs.
Of particular significance, Mr. Helmreich has substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions and securities laws as they relate to employee benefit plans. He has negotiated comprehensive covenants, representations, and warranties in asset purchase and stock purchase agreements as well as performed extensive due diligence of employee benefit plan liability issues. In the securities area, he has assisted employers in implementing employer stock based plans, including participant-directed employer stock investment funds in profit sharing and 401(k) plans, and employee stock purchase plans while addressing the Form S-8 registration statement and Form 11-K annual report filing requirements.
In 2007, Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao announced the appointment of Mr. Helmreich to a three-year term on the Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans, also known as the ERISA Advisory Council. Among the other honors Mr. Helmreich has received are recognition in The Best Lawyers in America ® in the area of Employee Benefits Law and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also listed in Chambers USA as one of the leading attorneys in Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Law.
Jeffrey Wilkins
Since 2001, Jeffrey M. Wilkins has served as managing partner of Wilkins Associates, a privately held investment management firm, which provides strategic management consulting services and advises on mergers and acquisitions for growth-oriented companies. Recent projects include The Ohio State University, where Wilkins was engaged first as a consultant on technology commercialization. His work led to a term as President and Chief Executive Officer of UMC Partners, a company he helped form to cultivate business development opportunities utilizing science and research originating from the OSU Medical Center. To facilitate the launch, Wilkins negotiated with two major municipalities to secure granted real estate, which was financed to support the launch of several businesses with no investment capital.
As an active community leader, Wilkins has served the boards of The Wellington School, TechColumbus, CIVIC, the Columbus Chamber, and the Center of Science and Industry. Wilkins holds a bachelors and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona. Wilkins resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Julie.
