Client Success Story

Arizona State University
Navigator (now Avaap) coordinated one of the largest deployment of Workday financials in higher education for ASU.

Arizona State University (ASU) was utilizing a 25+ year old legacy system which was past its end-of-life and provided limited usability to the financial and end user community. ASU’s objective was to transform the University’s financial and procurement systems to support the University’s mission and goals of academic excellence, student success, and research impact.

Our Approach

Navigator provided key independent Advisory and leadership services for ASU that complemented the overall ASU and Workday teams. Roles held on project included:

Program Manager
OCM Lead
Training Lead

Deployment / Support Lead
Workday Certified Consultant
Reporting Lead

Integrations Lead
Data Warehouse Lead

Data Warehouse Analyst

Navigator successfully implemented 8 Workday modules.

The project was on-time, on-scope, and under budget. There were approximately 100 integrations successfully deployed over 15 internal and external systems. Navigator acted as the independent Advisory project leadership, with Workday as the solution implementer.

The following Workday modules were implemented: Financial Accounting, Grants, Expenses, Procurement, Suppliers, Inventory, Projects, and Assets.

Navigator successfully created a University-wide change agent network that proved to be key in the overall success of the software deployment. Navigator also developed and deployed a post-go live support model.
