Client Success Story

Carnegie Mellon University
Navigator (now Avaap) worked with CMU to implement Workday, allowing them to meet their growing and changing needs. Workday enabled the university to be strategic, responsive, and flexible for future growth.

Background & Approach

Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) sought Navigator’s project management, business process reengineering, and change management expertise for their Workday implementation.

CMU needed the Workday implementation to streamline and enhance the way they deliver key human resources, benefits, and payroll services across university campuses.

“The Navigator Management Partners team was critical in helping Carnegie Mellon University achieve a successful, on-time go-live of the Workday Human Capital Management system. By partnering with CMU Workday leadership, Navigator was able to quickly understand our concerns as well as develop an approach that allowed us to be successful.”

Assistant Vice President, Financial Systems,
Carnegie Mellon University

Workday Implementation

The project included the implementation of state-of-the-art technology and the development of a Shared Service Center.

Through Navigator’s partnership with the University and the talent of our project team, we were able to navigate the many challenges of the project and successfully went live December 29, 2014.

Implementation Benefits

Due to the successful implementation, Carnegie Mellon University is better positioned to meet its growing and changing needs, enabling the university to be strategic, responsive, flexible and scalable for future growth.
